FMK Agency – Quick Reference Guide

About Us + Must-Know Policies

Mission Statement

Our mission is to create work that matters, moves people, and leaves a mark.

What "Leaving a Mark" Means for FMK Agency

At FMK Agency, "leaving a mark" doesn’t mean leaving a "legacy" in a grandiose, charity-esque way. It means creating work that:

  • Is memorable:
It stands out from the noise. It’s distinctive and recognizable long after it's seen, used, or interacted with.
  • Influences perception:
It subtly (or sometimes boldly) shifts how people view a brand, product, or idea — aligning with business goals and shaping reputation.
  • Drives action:
It encourages people to do something — buy, sign up, think differently, champion something — not just passively consume.
  • Creates momentum:
It builds lasting brand equity, customer loyalty, internal alignment, or future opportunities for growth.
  • Elevates brands and teams:
It makes clients look smarter, sharper, more human, more ahead of the curve — and helps them "own" their place in the market.
  • Sets new standards:
It challenges the expectation of what "good work" looks like, raising the bar for both the client and the industry they’re in.

Vision Statement (2.0)

Strange used to be the outlier. The weird idea in the corner. The punk kid scribbling on the margins while the rest of the class copied notes. For decades, strange meant indie, underground, experimental. It was the kind of thinking that thrived in basement shows, startup garages, and late-night design sessions.

But the world changed. The future came rushing in, and with it came complexity no one could ignore. What once felt fringe, from disruptive technology to bold design to unconventional strategy, is now the currency of enterprise growth. What was punk rock yesterday is the new playbook for leaders today.

At FMK Agency, we see that shift clearly. Strange is not a liability, it is a competitive advantage. Strange means new. Strange means opportunity. Strange is what sets our partners apart in industries built on sameness.

Our fractional teams do not just fill gaps. They bring the spirit of experimentation into boardrooms and product roadmaps. We take the restless energy of “what if” and apply it with precision where it matters most: scaling enterprise brands, navigating change, and building systems that last.

To us, strange is not chaos. It is the raw material of innovation. It is where creativity meets enablement, where risk finds rhythm, and where tomorrow’s leaders look for their edge.

The future looks strange. We're here for it.

Top 5 Must-Know Policies

1. Equal Opportunity & Inclusion

We hire and work fairly, without discrimination. We value diversity, equity, and inclusion as drivers of creativity.

  • Example: “We want the best idea in the room, no matter who brings it.”

2. DTO & Sick Leave

Time off is flexible. Take what you need, when you need it, as long as client commitments are covered. Notify your manager early.

  • Example: “If you wake up with the flu, post in Slack, rest up, and come back when you’re ready.”

3. Remote & Hybrid Work

We trust you to manage your time. Be available during core hours, keep Slack status updated, and use video for client calls unless approved otherwise.

  • Example: “If your internet goes out, post on Slack and adjust your day. Communicate early.”

4. Communication & Clients

Keep Slack conversations in channels, not DMs. Share progress and deliverables with clients, but not internal debates or finances.

  • Example: “If a client asks about budgets, say, ‘I’ll confirm with my manager and get back to you.’”

5. Innovation & Team Support

We succeed when we help each other and experiment with new ideas.

  • Example: “Notice a teammate swamped with QA tickets? Offer to double-check a few if you have bandwidth.”
